(Via Maria Designs) This work is my personal creative Art & Poetry journey. Enjoy!
First Art
The top image is my first ever completed painting done March of 2018. The good news was I was shocked and delighted at how it turned out...the bad news was I don't think I was looking at an image of the original.
Lion Drawing
Easter Sunday 2018 I picked up a pencil and again to my shock and awe I was able to draw at least what resembled my target.
Ode to a Blueberry
...when my serious poetic side meets my sense of humor
Upward & Onward
My poetry tends to mimic the tone of what is going on in my life.
What of the Unknown Path?
This one was me second guessing my life.
...just a Maria
Again my sense of humor on a smile mission...found the photo and then my creative side took it from there!
A Time for Every Season
When is lost love and moving on not a poetic moment?
Time Carries On
Here was my attempt to put what was in my heart and head about this quarantine.
LETTING GO AND LETTING GOD
Oh, the risk to follow your heart,
when there is so much that you yearn. But letting go and letting God, grants tranquility at each turn. It’s in the soul, not in the head, which leads to a completed task, Thus, letting go and letting God is a prayer away, just ask. Such a relief you’ll have at last, when you no longer have the wheel. ‘Cuz letting go and letting God helps relieve any aches you feel. So put your trust where trust should be to ease your complicated life, As letting go and letting God heals any hurt in all the strife. Doubt is where all the others fall, likewise, where you may stumble too; But letting go and letting God, with grace, and faith, will get you through. |
The Tulip
This second try a week later was a knock off of a found Pinterest Acrylic.
The Mouse and The Horse
These were my test to see if the lion was a one hit wonder.
On The Cusp of Fruition
This poem is a prime example of when I'm lost in trying to explain the unexplainable.
The Way
I took this photo, and wrote this very serious poem when life was bringing me to my knees.
Christmas Cookies
When is a random plate of Christmas Cookies not appreciated, I ask? ;)
If I could go anywhere, where would I go?
This was a fun little bit that I played with when I saw a contest online to write a story reference "where would you go, if you could go anywhere."
The Wall
The Wall - me trying to work through a relationship's end.
Her Magic
Such is the boy/girl difference. Vive La Différence!
Cottage on a streamThis painting project took about 6 months of stop and go dallying...but eventually I prevailed!

The LakeMy first photograph turned painting. I took some artistic license as my new found "talent" wasn't sure how to do a fence or snow/beach. Still much to learn but it seems I've got some skills I need to work on!
The EyeI understood eyes were hard so I tried one...check!
Hands
THEN I heard hands are the hardest...yes they are!
Heaven's Grace
Sometimes I'm not real sure where the inspiration comes for my poetry but when it comes, it flows...
Dear Author
Reference falling in love with a book, or writing, and ultimately the author.
My Mantra
While the photo is stock, and the word belongs to us all, it is however my mantra (the idea for the FaceBook post pic came from the story of a man asking, "why Jesus if you were helping me, is there only one set of footprints in the sand?" and Jesus said "that's because I was carrying you")...
Onward
Another time when stock photography and my mantra fed my creativity.
Fairies and Fireflies
THIS is my personal favorite! And Yes! This girl is a dreamer and has a tongue in cheek outlook on "her" world!
Shiny Red Car
One quiet Sunday afternoon, I spent dabbling on this shiny red car for about 2 hours
